Designing Interactive

Here at Mercury we spend a fair amount of our time creating stunning learning games for automotive companies. Interactive games are proven to raise information retention. They update teams with the latest information in style. Here are some tips on creating user friendly games…

First, the game needs to be easy to navigate. We’re glaring at you, nav bar.

Two words= Pause Button. Especially if there is audio.

Drag and drop sections shouldn’t be so small that it takes users 5+ tries to get it in place.

Each section should be broken down into a quantity of information that is retainable. A 40 minute sequence of interactivity will cause the user to lose focus (remember high school?).

Most importantly, it should be fun. Create something that people want to use!
